Service Control

pull, start, stop, and restart take a role: all, master, or agent.

mac pull​

Pull the role's images, including the GPU exporters this host needs.

mac pull all

mac images​

List the images the role needs and whether they are present.

mac images all --check
mac images prune           # remove unused MAC images after confirmation

mac load​

Load images from a complete offline bundle, even on agents. See Offline Installation.

mac start​

Start a role; all runs master and agent together. Agents need MASTER_IP and the master's token.

Missing images are pulled unless MAC_OFFLINE=true. After a reboot, mac start may restart Docker to clear stale Docker proxies, which affects other containers on the host.

mac stop​

Remove the role's containers; volumes and images are kept. Agents deregister unless you pass --keep-registration.

mac restart​

Recreate the role after configuration changes. Agents stay registered unless you pass --deregister.

mac restart all

mac status​

List local MAC containers and their status. -v adds versions, role, master address and GPU details.

mac status -v

mac logs​

mac logs                   # last 50 lines from each container
mac logs api-server -n 200 # last 200 lines from one service
mac logs api-server -f     # follow

mac test​

Check a running cluster through the master, on the master or on an agent with node-wide MASTER_IP.

mac test -v                    # list every check
mac test --expect all          # also check that this node runs every service

Exit code 3 means this node passed and only other nodes failed.

mac clean​

Delete MAC containers, data volumes (users, enrollment, alerts, metrics, logs) and local images after confirmation. --all also deletes mac-network, every MAC image and the Prometheus, Loki, GPU exporter and SDK agent images MAC uses, unless another container uses them.

Cleaning destroys persistent data. To keep it, stop the role and run apt remove, not clean or apt purge, which also deletes the volumes.

mac llmboost detect​

Find local OpenAI-compatible model endpoints and suggest a LLMBOOST_HOST_PORTS value. Nothing is saved; review the results, as unrelated serving workloads may appear.

mac user reset-password​

Recover an account on the master without a dashboard login. mac-api-server must be running. The command restarts api-server, signs the user out everywhere and can recreate admin; other data is kept.
