MASS Storage

Service → MASS connects to MASS Manager for BoostX-SDS capacity, volumes/groups, alerts, and drives. MASS requires a separate deployment.

Connect and Read Status​

Administrators enter Manager endpoint, username, and password; the api-server caches its JWT. Runtime settings remain in memory; restart restores environment values. Disconnect clears the runtime connection. Environment covers persistent settings.

Not configured, Connected, and Disconnected expose authentication/reachability state. Open Dashboard requires an external dashboard URL. Verify connection status after saving. Any signed-in user can read; provisioning requires operator/admin, and connection/credentials require admin.

Capacity and Objects​

Tiles show reported capacity, groups, volumes/data-reduction ratio, and drives. Alerts show severity, component, message, and time.

  • Volume groups — phase/capacity; create with name, label, size, backend; confirmed deletion.
  • Volumes — group, POSIX/ANY type, phase, owner; create with group/owner/GiB/type; snapshot, delete, or attach from rows.
  • NVMe drives — node, model, serial, capacity, temperature, membership.

Check destructive deletion scope/dependencies in MASS. Missing integration readings are unavailable.

Attach to a Node​

Attach to node ensures node identity and prepares mounting. Run MAC's displayed command on that node with the MASS client. Verify identity, preparation, and actual mount separately.
